Alert Communications has designed its Data Centre Network to meet N 1 redundancy standards for all critical aspects of the infrastructure, with the most critical equipment meeting 1 1 redundancy standards, where one single unit of equipment has at least one other unit in stand-by.

All internet traffic passes through 2 Routers, 2 Firewalls and 2 Bandwidth Controllers / Load Balancers. Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Prevention is deployed throughout the network at various stages with the main strong points residing on the Bandwidth Controllers and Cisco Firewalls.

We use only industry-proven Cisco equipment for the core network – to guarantee a 99.99% uptime on our network infrastructure.
